Cardi B es elegida como la mujer del año y así lidia con el hate

”I don’t cook, I don’t clean / But let me tell you how I got this ring” tal vez fue la línea más replicada en TikToks durante este 2020. ”WAP” fue el único tema que Cardi B lanzó este año. Sin embargo, no necesitó más, pues con ese único título rompió varios récords de reproducción en streaming, ganó seis veces la marca platinum en tan sólo tres meses y es su cuarta canción #1 en el Billboard Hot100. Por eso y mucho más es que precisamente Billboard acaba de nombrarla la mujer del año.

Naturalmente con este anuncio le llovieron críticas a la rapera en toda la internet. Muchos usuarios cuestionaron agresivamente por qué Cardi merecía la mención si no mantuvo una actividad constante en la música. Para todos aquellos que alimentaron esta ola de reacciones negativas Cardi lanzó un mensaje en Instagram en el que incluso se refirió a otras acciones que tomó durante el 2020 y que considera significativas para que su personalidad haya sido celebrada por Billboard.
